Human Experience - Interaction

Interaction takes place when two or more people come into contact with each other, virtually or physically, and communicate with one another. Many times, interaction is dictated by prior knowledge and in many instances operates within a set or norms that vary from culture to culture. Not only is it communicating with people, but it also incorporates the responses of each individual as well. It is a give and take; more of a cycle than a linear progression. From each interplay, knowledge is gained; thus future interactions are affected by previous interactions.

Technological Artifact - Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website, available to anyone ages 13 and older, that was launched February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. In October 2012, there were over 1 billion active users. Facebook allows people to connect, keep in touch, post photos, and exchange information on a whole new level, and with the possibility to personalize your page and add applications, it is easy to have an online presence without having to create an actual website. Interestingly enough, while Facebook is often used as a noun, it can also be used as a verb when it is used to express someone communicating with or searching for information about someone by using this social media website.
